James Jaxxa is an American artist who lives and works in New York City. Jaxxa's work includes painting, sculpture and site specific installation.
Jaxxa attended School of Visual Arts and Rhode Island School of Design, and earned B.S. and M.S. degrees from Michigan State University.
He has participated in group exhibitions at Vital 5, Seattle (2002, curated by Greg Lundgren), Zeitgeist Coffee, Seattle (2006),[1] Longwood Art Gallery, the Bronx (2006, curated by Edwin Ramoran),[2] and Rush Art Gallery, New York.[3]
His work has been featured in Library of Congress, New York Times, NY Arts magazine, Seattle Times, Seattle Weekly, Viagio and Washington D.C. Art News.
Jaxxa is a member of the Young Collectors Council at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation Board of trustees.[4]
